We have examined various snowpack data, including snow depth, snow water equivalent and snow surface roughness, to determine the spatial and temporal nature of these data.  While all data illustrate variability, there is also a certain amount of consistency, especially over time.  In a particular, snowpack accumulation and melt patterns tend to be the same throughout the year and from year to year.  There is also alot of consistency among different scales of data and even between different data.
